Sunset

July 21st, 2008

So I’m loving vacation. It wasn’t until I started relaxing that I
realized how much I needed this, what with all those crazy hours
worked and then moving.
Anyhoo, I’ve had quite my share of sunrises over the ocean having
lived on the East Coast most of my life. But today… today I got to
witness my first sunset over the Pacific. And I was actually able to
see it. Usually the fog rolls in and blocks it from view. Not today
though. Yeah!
So anyway, that’s my quick iPhone update after day one.

Hi Tech Vacations

July 20th, 2008

So I think I may have forgotten to mention that I picked up the new 3G
iPhone last week. BEST PHONE EVER. Seriously.
Although to be honest this isn’t just a really fancy phone. Oh no.
It’s really a small computer that happens to be able to make phone
calls. Which is awesome. And then some. In fact, I’m blogging from my
phone as we speak. But you know me and gadgets.
So other than really loving my new phone, I’m also going to the coast
for a bit of a holiday. I’m going with my friend Christopher to his
family’s beach house in Pacific City until Tuesday, then back to work
for two days, then leaving early on Friday to go back to the coast
(this time Canon Beach) with Kimmey and her boyfriend. It’ll be a good
time, I’m excited.
So there that is. Enjoy the beautiful weather!

What a Day This Has Been…

July 8th, 2008

What a rare mood I’m in.

So I’m almost entirely in my new place.  And I love the southeast.  Far superior to downtown, and so much quieter!  Walking to the grocery store the other day down tree-lined streets I realised yet again why this is called Rose City.  Aside from the crazy variety of plants people had growing in their front gardens and along the road, there were rose bushes everywhere.  The whole neighbourhood smelled so nice.  And I’m not usually one for roses.

And then today I found out that Suz y Q are coming out to visit next month!  Could this day get any better?  I won’t say no!

Cheers!

Post Script, the weather here is gorgeous.  The total lack of humidity (and apparent lack of snow) is enough to ensure that I never move eastward again.  Sorry friends.  But there’s plenty of room out here!

“Come…. Join Us….” he said eyes wide, in a deep droning tone, not unlike something you’d see on a bad made for tv movie depicting cults.  The only thing missing was the crazy spinning pinwheel overlayed on his eyes.

Guess Who’s Got a New Home!

July 1st, 2008

It’s official Ladies & Gents!  I signed the lease today, the place is mine.  Goodbye Downtown, Hello Southeast!

Now I just have to go through the headache of disassembling furnature, packing and moving.  But at least now visiters *ahem* don’t have to try to fit inside the glofied closet that I am currently occupying.

The plan is probably to move sometime over this next long weekend (I may take Monday off too) but to be totally out by the following weekend.  I’ll let you know how that goes.

So here’s to that!
