I’m sure having a late Thanksgiving didn’t help matters, but the close of this year has snuck up on me. For whatever reason, I’m still back at the end of Septemberish. So the fact that it’s already Christmas still confuses me.
Thanksgiving was a nice relaxing four-day weekend. We had dinner over at Chris’s aunt’s house with his family and then played cards into the evening. Lots o’ good food. Pretty low-key next few days. More eating, more food.
And then Sunday. Sunday we went hunting for Christmas trees in Pleasant Valley. After about an hour searching I found a beautiful little Nobel that was just asking to be cut down. That night I was the proud owner of a newly decorated, freshly cut Christmas tree. It looks better in real life than it does in the photo. You know how camera phones are. Even the jPhone.
Let the holidays commence!

1) I would like you to note that I went through the effort to comment ON your blog.
2) You have your tree up already?! I LOVE IT!
3) Personally I prefer to put my tree up close to Christmas and leave it up past New Years. Please don’t tell me you’ll take it down on the 26th. That’s so depressing.
4) I expected more from the iPhone, but understand it is all about the novelty.
5) Will there be any Chrstimas caroling this year? Any figgy pudding? Currier and Ives? Mupets Christmas Carol?
6) Have a very mery Christmas!

1) And for that I love you.
2) I do! I needed a little Christmas, right this very minute, carolers at the window, candles on the spinet…
3) No, I like mine up just after Thanksgiving and keep it up until March if I can.
4) It is so NOT about the novelty. It really is the best phone ever. It just doesn’t take night time photos so well. But I have a real camera for that.
5) I think figgy pudding has bacon in it. So no. Caroling could happen, though I have no immediate plans. Muppets… well, when aren’t the Muppets a good idea??
6) Happy Christmas!
