Different Look

October 20th, 2008

Obviously this looks a bit different from what you’re used to seeing. I had found the same template in WordPress as I had used in Blogger, but I couldn’t get the links working. As a result I chose another theme that integrated better. Let me know what you think.

Same Site, New Layout

October 20th, 2008

Depending on when you visit, you’ll notice any variety of changes to the site.  Instead of sending you somewhere new, this time you’re staying in the same place and I’m just doing a little bit of reformatting.  And if you’re reading this from an rss, you probably won’t notice anything at all.

I had originally been publishing this site with Google’s Blogger.  I liked it well enough, but it was a bit limiting if you wanted to publish externally.  So after we got internal blogs at work, and at the recommendation of a friend (thank ABC), I decided to try out their software.

We’ll see how that goes.  And mind the mess until I get this all straightened out.

New Blog Layout

April 27th, 2008

If you’re reading this, you’ve obviously noticed the new layout of the site… again. I know some of you are less inclined to change than others, but this one needed to be done.

Originally, I had switched to the mac site, because it came with my computer, as did the program etc. And while it is a lovely program, I don’t like the way mac limits your options. I could basically only edit that site from this specific computer, so if I wanted to make a change at work or at someone’s house or from the road, no go. I didn’t like that. And as I found out the hard way, if you need to reformat your computer, or something happens, you basically lose your entire site. It doesn’t give you an easy way to backup or export your site.

Nice program, too many flaws. So it’s back to basic blogger. And that’s more information than you probably want to know about the blog.

Anyway, I think I’m back from the land of the dead and can have my life back. I worked mad hours, but I survived. And overtime gets taxed at a significantly higher rate than normal, so the government is borrowing my money until next tax season. Nothing new has happened since I haven’t had a life, but I hope to be writing more frequently now that things have calmed down.

Cheers!
